We presented our live demonstration: "Depth from Focus on a Focal Plane Processor Using a Focus Tunable Liquid Lens" with Yulia, Piotr and Lorenz at ISCAS2017 accompanying our paper: "High Speed Depth from Focus on a Programmable Vision Chip using a Focus Tunable Lens".

Our shiny table that was bathing in light thanks to our rig of lights attracted many people! Our demo presented how we recover depth by imaging through a lens that vibrates at high-frequency. During these focal-sweeps we use a focal plane processor to analyse focus on-chip and directly render 3D images containing up to 64 levels of depth, in real-time.
